PRODUCT OF THE MOMENT

Better Backs...
Ergonomic seating is playing an ever-important role with an increasing emphasis put on the health of the seated operator in the workplace. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in partnership with Local Authorities are currently running a national campaign to tackle back pain in the workplace. Recent publicity by the HSE and their 'Better Backs Campaign' has increased our awareness to the fact that more and more people suffer with back and posture problems. The chairs or stools they sit on at work can be a contributing factor to poor posture and bad backs which has resulted in Sitting Comfortably’s ergonomic seating range becoming increasingly popular with employers.
Recommended by orthopaedic specialists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and occupational therapists, the saddle stool (sometimes referred to as the pony stool because of its shape) is proven to reduce work related upper limb disorders(RSI), decrease pain and fatigue associated with muscular tension, reduce lower back pain, relieve posture problems and improve blood circulation.

The Sitting Comfortably Saddle Stool allows the spine to maintain its physiological curves and the different models available in the range can provide correct posture and support for both adults and children alike. Prices start at a comfortable £100+vat.

A popular choice for today’s modern working environment and equally suitable for office/computer-related tasks; customer service & reception jobs; the medical field; dental surgeons & nurses; laboratory workers & technicians; veterinary surgeons; beauty therapists, nail technicians & hairdressers; musicians & artists. The Saddle Posture Stool is also well suited to offices at home, for hobbies and for children.

Correct seating
It is important to sit on a seat where your knees are lower than your hips and your feet are planted squarely on the floor. The Saddle shaped seat gives maximum support and maintains your natural spine curve by keeping your pelvis rotated forwards and your back hollow - even when you lean forward to work. When you sit on the moulded ergonomic stool your bodyweight is automatically distributed more evenly, providing a natural anatomical balance and reducing pressure on the back muscles. This seated posture lowers the thighs, opens up the hips and puts the spine into a healthy lordotic curve. It also reduces pressure points for long-term comfort and allows users to get closer to their work.
